Best use of the landmines for base defense is to put them in bush's or in areas of lush grass. The bush/grass will hide the landmine from being seen and, bush's are a way for players to be hidden from view if they are trying to scout out your base. Players tend to hide in bush's to escape players or to get a shooting advantage on a unsuspecting farmer or builder.

Useful for your raid base and to prevent campers. When raiding and forming your raid base, surround your raid base with landmines except the path you're raiding. This way, when grubs or counters come and hide behind your building, they will get blown up.
Also very useful to protect your base in general, especially a compound. When people jump over to raid or steal your furnaces, they die.

It's not always enough to place one mine to get a kill. Place 2 mines close to each other to guarantee kill even on a person with full set Heavy Plate Armor.

Great for putting a quick stop to an online raid when you don't have the guns or skill to engage raiders head-on. Place them in front of areas raiders are breaching into, preferably right around corners or when raiders would be otherwise distracted.

if you raid a base and get tc. but not loot and you cant pick into anything use landmines cos they cost less than other explosives
