NVG Scientist

NVG scientists are the only enemy you will find inside the missle silo, they wield the LR-300 and the SPAS-12 and have the health of a heavy scientist. Upon seeing a player they will aggressivly attack them, additionally they can open doors you close, but are unable to access elevators. Their night vission goggles can be seen through the darkness, and at distance. They will NOT spot the player if the player is looking through the glass of a door.

NVG scientists have the same level of toughness as heavy scientists, so a weapon with a high fire rate and a steady aim on the head is required to bring one down quickly. Use a flashbang to stun them.

they are very tanky | their glowing night vision goggles (green) can allow you to see them easily | they can open doors | it is possible to sneak up on them | they're armed with shotguns sometimes, keep distance, they also wander alot. | use elevators to escape or to reload.
recommended strategy: use Flash bangs to stun them, then run up and blast a full magazine into their head from a spaz-12 or a Python. this should kill them before they can react.

To run this comfortably as a solo you will need more than 25 rad protection and anything with protection better than a hazmat. Bring a minimum of 2 stacks of 5.56 ammo, 20 med sticks 100 cloth and a full health gun. By not bringing these you are putting yourself in extreme danger. This monument can be extremely difficult and is best taken in a group but if you are good enough here are some tips. Only stop shooting when they go down, they take more hits than you think. Go very slowly and when you do move, move quickly. One thing that is important to note is that you do not want to be near the warheads in the missile storage room. When leaving, always check the cams. Other than that I recommend, although it isn't necessary to bring a car and just park it outside the silo exit.
