As of 11th of November of 2023, the Homing Missile Launcher is not as effective as it seems.
You can easily dodge it in all the helicopters, even in the Scrap Transport Helicopter. The attack helicopter is virtually unkillable as long as it has flares, which work 100% of the time against the Homing Missile Launcher.
So if you're looking for a way to kill helicopters, I suggest going to their respective page here and checking how many Incendiary 5.56 or regular 5.56 ammo you need to kill them, because that's much more effective than the Homing Missile Launcher.
But if you loot one make sure to recycle it, the components you get from it are worth.
Hopefully in the future they will make this weapon more viable.
